How to secure your facebook account

Recently some of my friends have noticed that their facebook account is hacked. It is very difficult to get back your account once it is hacked. Now a day’s facebook become identity for everyone, people are sharing lot of personal stuffs with their friends and family online in facebook. These data may be misused by some people. It is better to keep your facebook account secure with adding more security options.

Some people hacks your password, they will keep on visiting your account and steal your personal data, photos etc. To verify your account is not being used by other person goto Security Setting > Active session and see the activity location. If location is from some other city then it may be possible that your account is hacked.

This used to happen mostly when people used to add unknown people or send friend requests to increase friends count which my help them in social games. 

Some tips to secure your facebook account:

P    1. Password – Keep strong password and change password change password frequently every 10-15 days.

2     2. Add device – Add a device name such as mobile or camera name as after login.

     3. Unfriend unknown – unfriend those people whom you don’t know.

       4. Secure Browsing – Use secure browsing by checking “Browse facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible” from security setting.

5     5. One Time Password –You can use one time password verification when you are accessing facebook account at public places. You will get a password which will expire in 20 mins. Now it is applicable only for U.S now.

6      6. Add only those whom you know.

7      7. Allow access to only reliable applications.

8    8. Set proper security access to your albums. Check friends option so that your photos can be seen by friends only.
