Easy setting to Secure Your Facebook Account

It is very difficult to secure Facebook account and lot of people and joining and some of them are doing some mischief things of stealing others password by hacking. Facebook has lot of options to secure the password.

Follow the below steps:

1.Go to your Facebook account.
2.Click on Home > Account Settings.
3.Click on Security from left hand side list.












Secure Browsing:

1.Click on Edit.
2.Check the checkbox “Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) when possible”
3.Click on Save Changes.

Login Notification: Once you enable this setting you will get email/Text message notification whenever you or someone else login to your account.

1.Click on Edit.
2.Check the checkbox Email or Test message.
3.Click on Save Changes.


App Password: You can secure your App login such Skype, Xbox, Spotify by generating separate password for apps.

1.Click on Edit.
2.Click on “Generate app Passwords” link.
3.Again click on “Generate app Passwords” button.
4.Enter new password and click on submit.

Recognized Derives: After login to your facebook account you will be getting “Name New Device” option. If you enter any device name here it will get saved in Recognized Derives section. So you can check later if any new device name is there in the list entered by any once else who logged into your account.

Active Sessions: You can see in this section if anyone else have logged in to your account. You can see your current location, Device type and Last accessed. If the city is different and you have not been there and accessed your facebook account from there then someone else have logged in to your account from that location.

Some Other tips to protect facebook account:

1.Change your password after every 30 days.
2.Change your public privacy setting; in how you connect option select Friends instead of everyone.
3.Put some restriction in timeline and tagging.
4.Put some restriction in “How people bring your info to apps they use”.
